Sitting pretty? Don't count your pizzas before they're delivered. Make sure you keep that momentum going so you don't lose your spot.

Not so pleased? Don't give up! Everyone still has one more Dough Night to prove they have the most school pride, so make it work!

If you're not doing so already, check out some easy ways to increase participation:

- Make announcements. Make announcements. Make announcements. Remind teachers and students to order, and make sure they know it's a competition - everyone wants to be part of the winning team!

- Utilize phone trees, social networking and email list-serves to spread the word. Anyone can order on your school's behalf, so long as they use the coupon. Share the coupon via email, post on Facebook and your school's website.

- Make the most of fliers, stickers and signs by displaying in a timely way. Fliers should go home a few days before your event, stickers the day of you event, and signs should be on display from drop-off through pick-up.

WE WILL SUPPLY ADDITIONAL DOOR SIGNS TO EACH SCHOOL FOR YOUR SECOND DOUGH NIGHT!!!

This event is on FIRE! Congratulations to each and every one of you for continuing to make the most of this awesome fundraiser. We are so proud of what are schools are doing this year and can't wait to present checks and to hear how the money is being put to use!

Raising Dough with Domino's Pizza

This blog is dedicated to Raising Dough with Domino's Pizza in Midland, Odessa, and Big Spring, TX.

Our Raising Dough programs are designed specifically with schools in mind, and we tailor our opportunities to fit what works for schools.

During the 2010-2011 school year, our programs helped to raise more than $7,000!!! And we're just getting started. This year we are making improvements to our programs in an effort to make them simpler, smarter, and more effective.

Check back here to learn more about some of the improvements we've made, the new opportunities we are offering, and track the progress of your school in their fundraising efforts.

The $500 Challenge

There are many things in life one is rewarded for, but being rewarded for raising money? That's a new one.

This year, we are launching The $500 Challenge in each of our school districts. Every school which enrolls in our Dough Night program has a chance to win an additional $500, on top of whatever money they raise through their Dough Night.

We're counting on a little friendly competition between schools to help catapult Dough Nights into the next level of fundraising.

Between August and December each participating school will be given two Dough Nights, two opportunities to show the rest of their district who has the most enthusiastic community.

At the end of the semester, the school which has raised the most money through their Dough Nights is going to get an extra $500 check!!!

And just to sweeten (cause savory-en isn't a word) the challenge, we are also going to treat the winning school to a Teacher & Staff Pizza Party!!!

We'll update the standings through this blog, so check back during the semester to see if your school is going to come out on top!!

The Hits Keep On Comin'

At Domino's Pizza, we are always breaking records...setting goals...raising the bar...so we decided to add some new stars to our school programs.

- POPs for Pie - Everyone eats pizza, we like to think everyone eats Domino's Pizza. And while we think a delicious, hot Domino's Pizza is reward in and of itself, like I said, we can't help raising the bar.

This year, teachers will have the opportunity to collect Proof of Purchase (POP) tabs in their classroom and earn a free pizza party. We'll supply fliers to announce the POPs for Pie program to your students and a catchy little poster (literally, it catches your POP tabs, supplying a visual countdown to your party):

- STUDENT REWARD CERTIFICATES - A little motivation never hurt anyone! If you're looking for ways to motivate your students, how about dangling a little slice of perfection at the end of that stick instead of a carrot? Our student reward certificates are available to you to be used in the classroom at your discretion. We just ask that you make sure the receiver has earned the prize...after all, we consider a Free Domino's Pizza a pretty valuable reward.
